What is Data Management ?
Data management encompasses all the system related to organizing data as a valuable resource. Data management at its primary stage is the consolidation of information in such a way that data is easily retrieved and preserved. Companies manage their data with a comprehensive data management plan, which includes human as well technology converging to obtain basic aim i.e. to maintain the data without any fuss and same to be retrieved with ease which is usually done at data warehouse of the companies.
The application of data management and process is used in broad and wide commrcial field, as the data is the company's assets and resources. The data management involves various processes depending upon the field and company's need, how company and its user uses the data and passes on within the internal circle and/or where it is needed. According to The Data Management Association (DAMA) the data management is "Data Resource Management is the development and execution of architectures, policies, practices and procedures that properly manage the full data lifecycle needs of an enterprise".
